Implementation Group Members

In order to engage representatives from the charities sector, individuals with relevant experience were invited to apply for membership of the Implementation Group. Up to three individuals were  sought from the charities sector through this process. A further two charity sector representatives were invited to participate, one each from the Irish Fundraisers Forum for Direct Recruitment and Fundraising Ireland.

The Implementation Group members are:

Reference Group

In addition to the Implementation Group as set out above it has been decided to form a wider reference group made up of key stakeholders and/or informants with relevant expertise who will be asked for advice and feedback as appropriate during the implementation phase. The relevant government agencies and other target organisations indicated a willingness to be of assistance in a way that did not involve direct participation on the Implementation Group hence the rationale for the reference group.  This group will include:

  1. Charity Regulation Unit - Dept. CRaGA
  2. The Financial Services Ombudsman
  3. National Consumer Agency
  4. Charities Section – Revenue Commissioners
  5. Data Protection Commission
  6. Advertising Standards Authority
  7. Mason Hayes and Curran (Law Firm – for an additional legal perspective)
